Achievements

  • Resurfacing of Grewgrass permissive bridleway with kind support from Thrushwood Farm and Tees Million.
  • The Errington loop bridleway was opened and we got together with printers and artist to create a map.
  • Non-slip strips laid across the road on Sandy Lane and Yearby Bank.
  • Permissive bridleways signs erected at New Marske and Wilton.
  • New gates were changed for horse friendly ones in Errington Woods.
  • The bank was restored on bridleway down to beach on Howard Drive.
  • New surface laid on bridleway alongside railway line.
  • Bridleway reopened from Saltburn Grange to Ship Inn which includes a new bridge.Bank to Saltburn beach
  • New top surface on quarry lane from Upleatham to Marske.
  • Route from Lazenby to Guisborough opened.
  • A route from Eston via Lazenby finished.
  • Quarry lane bollards erected to prevent motor vehicles entering woods.
  • Plaque placed on gate at the canter bank asking riders to keep to the path allocated to us.
  • Carling Howe Farm access points have been improved.
  • Hazel Grove (Donkey path) – new drains and widened.
  • Howelbeck Farm creation of permissive bridleway.
  • Worked with Friends of Errington Woods and Redcar and Cleveland Council to open new grey path linking Errington Woods loop to Beacon Moor (Top Loop) at Upleatham.
  • Resurfacing of the bridleway into Errington Woods from Pontac Road after heavy rainfall caused substantial damage.
  • Campaigned to stop wind turbines being erected on Beacon Moor near Upleatham (Top Loop).
  • Speed limit on A174 reduced to 40mph near Saltburn Riding School.
  • New gate enables Saltburn Riding School to ride horses to Hob Hill avoiding main road.
